Have you created your Privacy Policy Yet

Google updated their TOS to reflect a slight change to publish their advertisements on your site. You now must have a privacy policy up and running on each domain you are using Adsense on. Creating a privacy policy can be a huge pain as many of you probably don’t know where to start.

Well lucky for you we’re here to give you one for free. Its rather generic and may need some updating to reflect your site name and contact methods. Just click our Privcy Policy page link up top, and copy and paste it all to your site. It was given to us, so we feel you should give it to you too!

“…You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management… “

We aren’t 100% of what will happen if your site isn’t displaying a privacy policy, but we’d imagine you’ll get a warning about it first and then after that you’ll probably have your adsense account deleted or suspended until you display one. And I’m not sure if any of you have ever had to contact adsense support, but you’re probably looking at atleast a week of lost revenue if not longer.
